Four For Friday: Back to Good
I’m still willing to give 2021 the benefit of the doubt. We’re still dealing with last year’s overflow, and will be for a while. We’re obviously doing the cha cha this month - one step back, one step - but that’s how progress looks sometimes, you know? And progress is the name of the game.
I half-joked with my friends that I wanted to start 2021 on January 21st, just so we could have a lee-tle bit of leeway. Here’s four things to do/think about to get you started on re-setting your part of the world for the New Year:
Quote of the Week - Bad things happen dramatically (a pandemic). Good things happen gradually (malaria deaths dropping annually) and don’t feel like ‘news’. Endeavour to keep track of the good things to avoid an inaccurate and dismal view of the world. - Conor Barnes
100 Tips For a Better Life - This is kinda cheating as a “thing” because Barnes wrote this list, too. Definitely in the “take what resonates/what you need, leave the rest” category of to-do lists, but very thoughtful as a whole. Some great stuff in here about automation and organization, which is, as you know, my jam.
How to un-underline your links in Squarespace - I find them annoying and a design c-blocker. Do you find them annoying? Here’s how to get rid of them, real quick.
Give Yourself a Crappy Reward - Lifehacker’s tips for building a sustainable habit. Gold stickers, checkmarks, and how gold stickers and checkmarks aren’t the point.
How else can I help you create the perfect tech solutions for your business? Schedule a consultation with me next week and let’s talk!
Cheers,
Elizabeth
