Teaching Pains
They say that if you want to learn how to do something, teach it.
And, whoa boy, did I learn a lot putting together my first online course(s). Structuring syllabuses (syllabi?) microphones, video recording, video EDITING, and a lot more about Squarespace and Wordpress than I started with, mostly because every question I knew the answer to led to more questions- “Well, wait, if you can do this, can you also do THIS?”
Turns out you can, which led to more content, more editing, etc. I learned that I still love research, that I have a better knack for @canva than I thought, and in the end, I had a good time doing it, and now I have two comprehensive, step by guides on how and where to DIY your website edits.
I also now know why people charge so much to teach online course building because WOW. Click the “courses” link in my bio to check it out, and share this post. Contact me if you have questions or you’d like to talk about building a NEW website.
I’ll talk to you soon,
Elizabeth
