Sometimes You DO Get What You Want

Announcing New Honeybook Features!

Housekeeping: I am still planning to hold a Boot Camp about creating your first two automations in Honeybook. I'm finalizing the date next week, but email me if you want to get on the list early for a special price.

Honeybook has been rolling out Smart Files for over a year, and they keep adding new features.

This week they made me cry because I've worked with soo many photographers who wanted #1 forever, and it's finally here in an all-in-one format. Here are four new features that Honeybook has added in the past couple of months that you should be using:

1. Scheduler Smart File: Schedule and pay for a session simultaneously!

Send your clients a Smart File that lets them pick the type of session they want, the day and time they want to book it and pay you for it all at once. You can add additional items for them, like travel, extra time, or albums. You can add in a contract. And in a few minutes, it's done! I made a (generously B- level) reel about it here. There are four different scheduler templates that you can customize, start by going to tools>templates>template gallery and searching for "scheduler."

And the best thing? You can automate this off of your contact form!

This is for more people than just photographers too. This is for you if you sell any one-on-one flat-rate sessions or products. So, hair and makeup artists. Wedding bakeries that sell cake samples. Business Coaches, DJs, photo booths, wedding babysitters, okay, many people could use this!

2. Smart Files Invoices

Smart Files Invoices aren't new, but now you can automatically send invoices to your clients or automate this of your contact form. So, they click an option, and they're sent an invoice for whatever - cake samples, invite samples, rentals, whatever you want to sell quickly. Well, you want to sell every service quickly, but you know what I mean.

3. Smart Files Contracts

Again, not new, but now you can automate a contract of your contact form or create a combo document with a contract and invoice.

4. Smart Files Questionnaires

The whole point of Smart Files is to be able to combine different documents all at once, so you're doing less back and forth with your clients. Creating proposals that include a "services" section where they can choose additional items to add to their final invoice, for instance. My favorite tool in the past couple of months has been adding my tech questionnaire to the last step of my smart proposals. Getting it out of the way, so to speak. One less document to keep track of, and you can require them to fill it out before they submit the doc.

If you have any questions or want some help setting any of these up, click here to schedule a call with me next week or email me directly at elizabethcoopersmith@gmail.com. Let's clear out the cobwebs for 2023!

I'll talk to you soon,

Elizabeth
