On Fridays, I bring you the best workflow and business tips I find each week. In 2020, I'm attempting to write one each DAY. So, since this is Friday and the last day of January, here are this month's tips:Workflow Wise Tip #1: It's January! Check the copyright year on the bottom of your website. Hit me up if you have questions!Workflow Wise Tip #2: Deep thought - “Can I turn this Word file/PDF into an easily updatable google doc with a read-only link?”Workflow Wise Tip #3 - put a contact phone number and email on your website #maketheboatgofasterWorkflow Wise Tip#4 - Get a free google voice number that re-directs to your cell phone.Workflow Wise Tip#5 - There is an online application you’re paying for but haven’t looked at in 3 months, cancel it and integrate it any of the ones you are using regularly. #askmehowWorkflow Wise tip #6 - Sync your appointment app to whichever online calendar you use or are planning to use the MOST, ical, google, outlook, etc.Workflow Wise Tip # 7 - If you can't get into the habit of checking your appointment app availability every week, DEFINITELY check it before you send a link out.Workflow Wise Tip#8 - Other uses for contact pages - qualifying clients, follow-up questionnaires, menu selections.Read: Contact Forms – Four For FridayWorkflow Wise Tip #9 - Add testimonials to your contact form page What better place to affirm what a Rockstar you are than on the page where they go to personally find out what a Rockstar you are?Workflow Wise Tip#10 - How many times have you edited the same contract/email template before sending it out? Permanently change the template OR create a new one based off of it.Read:  Eliminate the Negative To Streamline Your WorkflowWorkflow Wise Tip #11 - Workflow Wise Tip #11 Download all the mobile apps for your online services/tools - calendar, website, social media scheduler, etc.Workflow Wise Tip #12 -1. #thingsforgottenthatyouneedforcontract - mailing addressWorkflow Wise Tip #13 - 2. Back yourself up making them HAVE to fill out their mailing address on your contract. Same with phone number.Workflow Wise Tip#14 - #nocrmhack - You can schedule emails in gmail. What templated emails can you schedule right after you get hired? “Here’s a spreadsheet/schedule your followup call/don’t forget...etc.Workflow Wise Tip #15 - #nocrmhack - Send the link to your invoice and your contract to your prospective client at the same time, not one and then the other.Workflow Wise Tip #16 - First rule of linking to other websites from your website - make sure the other site opens up in a new tab. #askmehowWorkflow Wise Tip #17 - Do you send welcome emails/packets to your new clients? Include your work hours and your call return timeframe.Workflow Wise Tip #18 - Update the year on all your contracts and documents.Workflow Wise Tip#19 - Social media schedulers will SAVE YOU. Even the free ones.Workflow Wise Tip #20 - Very little in your world or mine is urgent at 9pm. You can return that business text or call the next morning. #expectationsWorkflow Wise Tip #21 - Get clear about what your week looks like. If you need to do a work thing, put it in your calendar. If you need to do a life thing, put it in your calendar. New mantra - if it’s not in your calendar, it’s not happening.Workflow Wise Tip #22 - Remember, You control the autoresponse it does not control you. Your automation can sound as much like you as you want it to.

Workflow Wise Tip #23 - Position yourself as a peer with prospective clients. Instead of “Thank you for meeting with me,” try “I’m glad that we can talk today.”Workflow Wise Tip #24 - If you are sending the same google docs and presentations to your clients, use tinyurl.com or bitly.com to make the url shorter and easy to remember.Workflow Wise Tip #25 - Make the leap from the free version to the paid version of a software/app when you can use at least two features NOW, not sometime in the future.Workflow Wise Tip #26 - Zoom for example: Tempting to to get the paid subscription for “unlimited” reach, BUT the free version hosts up to 100 participants for 40 minutes at a time. #make it work.Workflow Wise Tip #27 - Seriously, YOU are your biggest business asset. Taking care of your clients needs to involve taking care of yourself, too.

Workflow Wise Tip #28 - Live networking is severely underrated. Not only are there other entrepreneurs who understand and relate to you, but free food is often involved, too.
