Create Time|Blog| Elizabeth Coopersmith Consulting

I don't know if you can create time, but you can certainly save it.

That's a HUGE thing for creatives right now, because the country opened up, and gigs have come pouring in. Which is great....until it's just really too much, and you can feel yourself scrambling.

When you hear yourself muttering, "Why can't I handle this?" You need to pull the breaks and change that question to, "HOW do I handle this?" The answer to figure out spend less hands-on time managing the "business" end of your business. You know, the repetitive stuff you do for every client.

I am NOT talking about automating the one-on-one personal work. I'm talking about follow up emails, scheduling, invoicing, questionnaires, brochures, all those tasks you have to remind yourself to do, every time you get hired, and throughout every project.

1.Start small

Automate your website contact form replies. Instead of "we'll get back to you soon", send them to a page where they can schedule a consultation with you, or links to a questionnaire, so you don't have to manually send it.

2.Start small on a CRM.

If you have Honeybook or Dubsado already, embed their contact page into your website. If you already have that, attach a workflow to it that automates the next step in your inquiry process, so you don't have to manually send it. If you haven't signed up for either, Honeybook will give you 40% off the first year.

3.Start small with your inbox

You can schedule emails in gmail to go out up to 49 years ahead of time. You can automate a complete of set of emails to a client at one time, so you don't have to manually send it.

4.Start small by learning a little more

I scheduled my next free webinar on first, so you can find how to automate even more tasks so you don't have to manually do them. You can sign up for that here.

You don't want to add to your overwhelm, so pick the smallest, easiest thing to do, even if it's one client at a time, and you'll be able to free up hours in your week, month, year. If you have any questions, click the button below to schedule a free strategy session.
