Checklist four things

We all do it. We all do it. We all do it.

We have a list on paper, or in our minds, of allll the things we're going to accomplish in a day. We diligently work on it, life interferes, emails pop up, and we wind up feeling like we accomplished nothing, because we didn't finish everything.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The first expectations you need set every day are of yourself. What is urgent today? What can be put off until tomorrow, or, you know, Monday? What is the priority, as opposed to just pressure?
I'm a huge proponent of sticking to four must-do to-dos every day. For instance, today mine are:
  1. Finish this newsletter
  2. Edit one of the websites I'm working on for a client
  3. Post on my blog
  4. Finish the latest draft timeline for my 8/15 micro wedding
I like to put the squishiest thing last on my list. #4's details keep changing because, you know, 2020. If I have to wait until tomorrow to send that out, I can.
Instead of focusing on what you should be able to do, focus on what you know you can do.
So, this week, I'm starting a "just four things" challenge on Instagram. I'm going to do a little graphic thing on Monday, but if you post your checklist every day with the hashtag #justfourthings and tag me @elizabethcoopersmith , I'll share it!

Me, Again: Speaking of Micro, I'm trying out more Micro Services, and one is for Website Edits) I am in love with the website audits I've been doing (Next one is August 5, 5:30pm) but in the end, I just want to help! Click here to buy a gift card for yourself, redeemable for 5 edits to your website, at $50 an edit.
Entertainment Weekly - What Indiana Jones can teach us during hard times. Bear with me! The author's premise is that even though Indiana fails over and over to get the Ark, and eventually loses it to the U.S. government, he's still a hero because he never stops trying. I agree, and concur. But, BUT, the author goes on to say that if he had done nothing, the Nazis still would have died, which isn't true. They had the wrong digging space until they captured him and Marion for the last time. His actions lead to being the last one standing in front of the Ark, even if he didn't to keep it.
So, the lessons I'm passing on to you are these: Even if the outcome isn't what you expect, never stop trying, luck lucks a good listener, and remember to celebrate your victories along the way.
The Jane Club - Originally a women's co-working space in Larchmont, it went full digital, like the rest of us. I was turned on to it by a former client. Great community. So far this week I've meditated, exercised, set intentions and met and talked to a lot of cool, interesting women. It's $50 a month, billed monthly. Get the first month free and take a look by using the code INSIDERJANEFF
