Make it Work

It doesn’t matter if your customer is right or wrong, you have to remember that they're still your customer.

I'm a big fan of meeting my clients where they are, because every entrepreneur has a relationship with their business that only they understand.

It's like religion - every single person has a slightly different idea of what's going to get them to hell or to heaven, or really, whether or not they care. It comes down to what they're comfortable with, and how far they're willing to go.

So, when you get a tough request, you can't always say, “No.” Or, “Do it this way." You're getting paid to make “it” work.

All of you event pros in here know exactly what I'm talking about. You’re the same way, trust me.

Basically, I spend a lot of time figuring out how to make the “business” part of your business tech run a little bit smoother.

With one of my Honeybook clients, it was adding confirmation info to her contracts, so her assistant could just copy and paste it into her weekly schedule email, instead of hunting and pecking all over the damn website. Or turning a pdf menu into a website contact form, so it’s faster for clients to get a quote.

Here’s four things I found this week to unjam your life and business. Contact me if you’d like to schedule a consultation!

The Round Up

CRM + Website Bundle

If your website could use a refresh, and you could use a better grip on your invoice/email/admin game (automation +SOP FTW), we should talk about my new service!

In 30 days you can have a brand-new website, and a full business set-up on Honeybook or Dubsado.

Wednesday Work Sprint

Missing your favorite co-working space, but (obviously) stick at home like the rest of us? Mark your calendars for a new thing starting next Wednesday, 10/14 at 10am.

Two hours, divided into 4 25-minute sessions with a 5 minute break in between. Focus on your must-do project (s) for the day.  I've been doing them at least once a week with another networking group and it's a great productivity boost.

Good Read

My audiobook this week is The Entrepreneur Rollercoaster, by Success magazine editor Darren Hardy is soo good. It's not just about thriving as an entrepreneur, but how to think and act if you've chosen this life. I was shocked how good it was, because it's free on Audible. But it's so good, I'm getting the hardcover.

Bottled Joy!

I need to drink more water (you do, too). But I always lose track of how many glasses I've had, and umm, how much 320z actually is. It's disappointing. So, I got the Bottled Joy Water bottle. It has “motivational” time markers - 8am - 2pm for 32 oz, and then then refill to drink another 32 oz by 6pm. I KNOW. I love it!

Stay safe and I’ll talk to you soon,

Elizabeth
