Welcome to the Second Quarter!
Welcome to the Second Quarter of 2023. Wedding Season is gearing up - some of you are already on your second or third event!
Now that we’re diving in, here are my recommendations for streamlining your client management for the heavy three months ahead:
1. Review and edit your questionnaires and checklists. I’ve booked a couple of month-of coordination gigs this year. I sent out a wedding questionnaire a few weeks ago to one, and when I got it back, I realized that I had forgotten to add one question again: Who’s your officiant? This is also the first year that I’m giving them a wedding decor checklist to keep track of the personal decor they’re bringing in and who is responsible for it. Now’s the time for you to take a look at yours, too.
2. Review and edit your invoicing - Maybe you’ve been thinking you want a bigger retainer or more of a balance. Would different due dates work better for you and your clients? Make those changes now for your future clients, who should be showing up right about…now.
3. Create some waivers - If you didn’t get the chance to add some new clauses to your contract - 3-strikes harassment rule, no food service, photo use,etc - create emails or docs that notify your clients that they are taking effect this year, and then put them in your contracts.
4. Automate this stuff - You can create these documents in Honeybook or in any CRM. They’ll auto-populate with your client’s information, and you can schedule when they go out. You won’t have to remember to do it or feel bad when you forget or don’t have the time to do it!
