Friday Four: The Little Things

On Fridays I bring you the best workflow and website tips I’ve found around the web and in my busy little brain. And we call it The Friday Four. Welcome!

Tis the season to keep it simple when it comes to making tweaks to your business system - because you don’t really have time to do anything too complicated. Here are four quick trick/tips to add to your arsenal

  1. Use www.tinyurl.com and bit.ly.com liberally. If you’ve got a long url you have to send out frequently - I’m thinking calendar links and google docs - shorten those up so it’s easier for everyone to remember. Case in point, https://tinyurl.com/liztalk30

  2. Ergonomics - On my IG Live series “Workflow for Creative Pros” I talked to Darcie Jaremey from Ergonomics Help this week, and got some great tips on creating a physically friendly home office. The easiest were to keep your keyboard level with your hands and or at a downward angle, and keep your feet flat on the floor. I’ve got my own eye on this mouse, too, because moving it around is a carpal tunnel disaster. Here’s a few more of Darcie’s favorite Home Office tools for you.

  3. New thing to automate: the Closing The Loop email. If you’ve got a string of inquiries that haven’t replied back to you, and open dates on your calendar, this is a great way to lock them down. 9 out of 10 times you’ll get a response. In Honeybook and Dubsado, you can make this part of your reminder email sequence.

  4. I have a new tip sheet on other automations you can do in your business that’s going to create 10+ hours a week and make some more money. You get that here.

If the 2022 season is really starting to feel overwhelming, let’s talk about what else you can do to make it easier - click here to schedule a free consultation with me next week.

Have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you soon,

Elizabeth
